Super Tuesday :)

I walked by the bay today, as usual, during my lunch hour. My hip was hurting--probably more than it ever has. Don't really know why, exactly. I do know that my xrays reveal that I am "bone on bone", as far as my hip and socket go. There really isn't much left of my hip. I push myself in exercising to stay as fit as possible, so that when I am ready to have a hip replacement (probably early 2010), I will be that much further ahead of the game because of all the exercise I'm doing. That's a good thing. My hip actually felt better after my walk--also a good thing. :)

Esther and I went swimming tonight, and we both did 66 lengths (33 laps), which equals 1 mile. It felt great, and is probably the best exercise I can do for my hip. Afterwards, I went in the steam room, then the hot tub, massaging my hip on one of the jets--nice. :) Oh--I weighed myself before working out and weighed 145. I was bummed. I really thought I'd be about 143. I'm exercising like nobody's business and eating a very low fat/sugar diet. The only thing I can figure, is that I'm gaining muscle. I'm not too discouraged, though. I'll keep plugging away. I'm in a little competition with a co-worker. We are both trying to lose 8 pounds by February 1st. My goal is to get to 135. As it stands right now, I have 10 pounds to lose. Hmmm.
