Loosening Up the Joints

It's amazing how walking loosens up the joints, allowing me to move freely. I don't get that. I'll be sitting for a while, then get up and am totally unable to put any pressure at all on my left leg without feeling a ton of pain in my hip. I forced myself to walk at noon today. After about the third song on my MP3 player, I was walking and keepin pretty good time to Donna Summer's "She Works Hard for the Money" :) The rest of my walk was good. When I returned to my desk, a few of us WALKED from the Commuter Terminal (where I work) over to Terminal 2 to get a Jamba Juice--two 'walks' for me in one day. Purdy good. There will be no swimming tonight, as I have a church commitment.

  1. I thought you said you wouldn't be talking about your hip anymore???? Hmmm.....

  2. OK--"Lollypoppers"--you are right. If, however, you review my blog, I believe I said unless there is 'good news' to share. Being able to just move right now is good news for me :)

  3. In my book, you can talk about your hip all you want Sis. There might be people out there reading your Blog who may have suggestions for you, but most of all, you may be becoming an inspiration to other hip, knee and back arthritic sufferers. You are doing as much as you possibly can to not only improve your health, but to strengthen your muscles so you will be able to tolerate a hip replacement surgery far better than you would have if you were not physically fit. So, share all you want to about what you are experiencing. This is your blog and all of us have a choice to read it or not.

Love, Esther, who is inspired by you to be as physically fit as I can be. S
